Giving Swedish students the opportunity to discover Silicon Valley
"We always wished there was an opportunity to travel to San Francisco with other young entrepreneurs when we studied in Sweden" says Alfred Wahlforss, one of the initiators behind Snabbt. “The approach to, and the infrastructure for creating companies that exists here is unique, and few people outside of Silicon Valley are taking advantage of it," adds Wilhelm Bolin. "The majority of all the advances we've seen in AI in the last year have happened right here, and to participate in the revolution that's going on, you have to experience it first hand."
Snabbt is an initiative by Alfred Wahlforss, Wilhelm Bolin and Emil Erne - three young Swedish entrepreneurs who live in San Francisco and want to inspire other young Swedes to create the next generation of tech companies. By giving students and young entrepreneurs the chance to visit Silicon Valley they hope to motivate more Swedes to take part in the evolution of Artificial Intelligence. "The majority of all the progress we've seen in AI in the past year has happened right here, and to participate in the revolution that's going on, you have to experience it firsthand."
"We are both building companies in AI and Alfred lives in a "hacker house" with twenty other entrepreneurs where they brainstorm thoughts and ideas about the latest developments in AI with each other on a daily basis. Sweden has every opportunity to participate at the forefront of AI and we hope to contribute to that through Snabbt". - Willhelm Bolin
