Julia Langley, MA, MBA, Faculty Director, Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program, works towards the integration of music, visual arts, expressive writing, and dance into healthcare and medical training. At MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Langley leads a program of fifteen professional artists-in-residence, and two Georgetown University undergraduate student groups. She partners with physicians, artists, and educators to develop wellness programming for patients, caregivers and medical staff. As the first art historian to serve on faculty of a major university medical center, Langley teaches courses in the medical humanities to undergraduate and graduate students across different disciplines.
